I recently finished
"Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers "
by Mary Roach
What an extremely interesting book! This almost makes me want to donate my body to science when I die. Without the use of human cadavers in science, we would not have advanced as far scientifically as we have.
From the back book description: Cadavers have tested France's first guillotines, ridden the NASA Space Shuttle, been crucified in a Parisian laboratory to test the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, and helped solve the mystery of TWA Flight 800.
